We're getting ready for a gorgeous wedding in Atlanta this Friday, and I can't wait! The venue is urban, southern chic... contemporary, right in the city in a converted old southern building and oh so stylish.
As I type, I'm baking mini cupcakes for the groom's cake. Not exactly my forte, BUT, the bride saw the minis we've been doing for our bridal shows and thought that would be perfect for her hubby to be. Triple chocolate minis in fuchsia tins topped with white chocolate melts. Mmmmmmm.....
We've personalized this wedding from start to finish and all on a budget... from the unique arch decor (faux flowers on sheer ribbon, inspired from The Knot) to personalized favor boxes hand tied in adorable ribbon and stamped with their names... the escort cards, table numbers and programs, all incorporating the couple's contemporary "love me not" theme that began back with their invitations... the manzanita tree dangling the guests escort cards, lit by the glow of candle light... the paper flowers in giant vases on half of the tables... the not-so-traditional ring bearer pillow... we've had a ball getting creative and NOT spending a fortune.
I can't wait to see it all put together after months of planning. The countdown is on!
